     To start:
Wrap the yarn around the peg on the outside of the loom and take the yarn to the inside of the loom and wrap around the first peg.

Skip the next peg and wrap the next peg, continue on around skipping a peg and wrapping the next peg.

Knit about 45 rows or the length you will want to hang down.

To make the scarf thinner on the part that goes around the neck, start taking off stitches one on each side for the next 10 rows.

     To decrease stitches:
Knit to the end of the row turn and knit back three stitches. This holds so you can decrease the width of the scarf without pulling the knitting too tight.

Using the crochet hook, take the stitch off the turning peg and the next loop from the loom, then pull this stitch through the last loop and put it back on the peg you took it off of.

Continue doing this on each end until you have 6 loops or stitches left on the loom.

Knit 28 rows for the neck part.

     To increase stitches:
Knit to the end of the row, skip the next peg (because you are knitting a loose stitch) and wrap around the next peg and turn and go back.

Knit on the 12 stitches for 45 rows and end.

     Bind off:
Using the crochet hook, take the first loop off and work a single crochet through it.

Take the second loop off and do a single crochet through both stitches on the crochet hook. Continue on around the loom and pull the yarn through the last loop and pull tight.

Weave in the ends and you can add fringe, beads, or decorate the way you would like.
