This was my first real set of acrylic paints, upgrading from the cheap crafting acrylics, and they applied so smoothly and were easy to work with. I'll definitely pick up more in the future.

This is probably the set I would have gotten if I were just starting out.  Besides basic colors, you get three metallic colors, two palette knives and four mediums.  I had already gotten a couple basic sets but bought this one to try out the mediums.  It also had some blue shades (so useful for skies and water) that I didn't have in my other two sets.
