I have never used Pastels before. I do water colors and I wanted to be able to add highlights to my paintings. These worker perfectly for this. Now I am excited to try my hand at some Pastel drawings.

I enjoyed this little starter kit…the pastels are small but it makes them manageable. There were some fun erase and smudging tools and a stencil included, allowing easy color blending, and formation of perfect bubbles. I used my own bigger paper, but followed the included instructions that allowed me to make this underwater turtle as my first project…not bad. The instructions referred to something I couldn’t find: masks…but now I see an included QR code for downloading them. ? Overall, a really great value for the $.

While not having a lot of colours to choose from, the pigments were quite strong so mixing them was quite easy. But they were a bit difficult to build up into darker colours.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My nephew loves these soft pastels. They color very smoothly and are very pigmented! When drawing these allow you to blend very easily. They also work with different types of paper! They don’t break easily and I would buy again!

My 2 teen daughters loved playin with this art set, it was a totally different experience then any traditional crayons. They sat for hours drawing and creating memories together, we highly recommend this to anyone who loves making art! I would suggest this be for someone at least 6 years and older
