This wooden manikin hand, serves a great purpose, in keeping rings that I can wear on occasion; it is adjustable, flexible, and well-made!

I purchased this hand to use with an air plant as floral arrangement. My hope was that I could stand the hand like the picture and then bend the palm back 90ish degrees to hold the plant in the hand. Unfortunately, the hand doesn't bend backwards. I ended up making a cradle to lay the hand in horizontally with the air plant in the palm. It looked good, it just wasn't what I had hoped to accomplish with it.

I have wanted one of these as a decor item for a very long time and finally did it. I wanted to be able to fully pose the fingers but they are too thin to stay in place. I plan to exchange this for another in hopes that the fingers stay in position better. The wood and feel of it is nice, and I’m hoping I got an odd one and the next holds form better. It does look cool.

I enjoy the great craftsmanship of this wooden model of a hand.  I find that it is really well made.  I have seen these and the wooden models of the human figure used in various creative ways in other artists’ studios and I was thinking of getting one myself.  I am glad to have found this one which I am really happy with the look and maneuverability of and I look forward to doing something creative with it in my art studio.
