I really wanted this machine but have lost hope on receiving a machine that actually works properly and I refuse to pay for a brand new item to be fixed. needle is stuck in the left position does not move to center or right position. I hope 4th time is charm honestly want to cry the hassle of getting this to a UPS location cost me $20 to $30 a ride and getting hold of customer service is a task in its own.

I was so excited to buy this machine because of all of the stretch stitches it comes with. Unfortunately, I ended up returning it because it absolutely CANNOT sew knit fabric. I'm an experienced sewist and have sewn knits (specifically, jersey & DBP) on my very basic singer sewing machine for years, but this machine was just awful with them. It constantly ate the material, skipped stitches, and shredded the thread while sewing. I broke 3 needles on it during the short time I had it, and I've never broken a needle on knits before.  Extremely disappointed, as I was so excited for this machine and really wanted to stick with Singer. Thankfully, I was able to return it and get money back. 

Giving it 2 stars because the machine worked well enough otherwise (cotton woven fabrics), but I absolutely would NOT buy this if you plan to sew any kind of knit/stretch fabrics.

I was able to set my machine up and I believe it will work for my needs at this time but there was no manual in the box and the online manual is over fifty pages. Too much to print

None of the above Contents were included in the box with the Singer Heavy Duty 4452 Sewing Machine.
Even the Default Foot (Straight Line Stitch) which is supposed to come with every sewing machine, so you have at least 1 Foot to work with, was missing!  In looking more closely at the box, it appears the box was opened, then retaped and returned.  Apparently, no one bothered to check the contents of the box when returned.  I did not realize I needed to open and inspect the contents of the box before leaving the store, when I picked the box up!  Very Frustrating!!

NO ACCESSORIES were included in the box! I bought this sewing machine, the Singer 4452 Heavy Duty, brand new and found that NO accessories were included in the box. The only things that were in the box were:
-the sewing machine
-the presser foot w/ cord
-a teeny tiny blue sewing foot (see picture) that cannot even sew regular stitches.
I am extremely disappointed in Singer's quality control on this product, and I have no idea how to get the accessories that were supposed to be included, except to return the entire sewing machine with the box to Michael's craft store (where I bought it) and exchange it for another one. Absolutely ridiculous, and one of the biggest disappointments after spending over $200 on this sewing machine.
