When I first examined the books, I didn't have high hopes. The paper felt very flimsy. Nowhere is it advertised that you can use wet media, but I have used watercolor and gouache with good outcomes. the paper ripples a bit, but I don't mind that for a sketchbook. I have used a gluestick to glue two pages together in rare cases. I've also used pencils, ink, colored pencils, water-soluble oil pastels, oil pastels, and pastels.  The paper stands up to erasure, scrubbing and blending. This book lies flat when opened so you can do a two-page spread. Overall, the book is better than anticipated. Grab it and go. Stay creative!

A small handy dandy sketchbook that can fit in your larger pockets or in your bag. The paper is wonderful for pencil, colored pencils and ink. There will be some bleed through with alcohol markers and this will not hold up to watercolor. But the if you are looking for a budget friendly on the go sketchbook for your ideas, this is it.

I bought this for my daughter to keep with her at all times. It’s lightweight and the perfect size for travel. Pages are smooth and thick weight for drawing. I do love that it has an elastic band to keep it closed as well.

I really like this small sketchbook for its size that makes it easy to carry around for spur of the moment sketches, and for its paper.  It's a bit on the light side but at least it's not what I would call "smooth".  For me it's got just the slightest bit of texture making it usable for pencils and for pen & ink.  No bleed or ghosting with my fountain, brush or sailor fude pens so far.

I don't know what it is about this small, square size, but these adorable little sketchbooks with their good construction, decent and thick paper, and pretty cover color choices, but I can't stop buying them! Mostly to make pretty covers for them, or have them add to the aesthetic pleasure of my bookshelf. Here's one I did marker art on as a frame for this cool ATEEZ sticker that was begging to be put on this cute little sketchbook~

The paper is a little thin, best for dry media, IMHO.  I've been using mine for daily 10-minute sketch practices.  Fineliner will show through to the back of the page if juicy enough, so I've only used one side of the page.  I'll try to add a photo of my swatch page, front and back.
