Class Description
Gouache is opaque watercolor with a matte finish. It can be used in a variety of ways, and has a unique graphic quality beloved by illustrators. This beginner level class will help anyone get started painting with gouache using simple brushstroke and painting exercises to become familiar with the properties of gouache and build confidence in a new painting practice. This class will also cover ways to create a grey scale and color value scale using black and white paint and also water to manipulate gouache values.
