12 inch Fused Glass Strip Construction Platter - Blue-White-Black-Clear glass
The 12" long strip construction platter was created using 3/8" wide strips of blue and white cut to varying lengths with square window inserts of clear/white glass. The glass strips and windows were assembled in a rectangular form then fused in my kiln. The glass was full fused to a temperature of 1480 degrees. After fusing, the glass was slumped using a form to create a platter. All of my fused glass work is hand cut, assembled and fused by me in my home studio. I am an accountant by day but glass artist by night. I discovered a passion for fusing glass when I took my first class on glass fusing in 2010. I now have three kilns, several pieces of cold working equipment, and a full glass studio. Please contact me at dancinghorseglassstudio@gmail.com if you have any questions.
