It has been my experience in a decade of carving and engraving on a HUGE variety of materials. Lasers can carve a glass-like surface on a Brick either concrete, stone, or clay but can only do so at a depth of about 1/32 -1/16 of an inch of depth. That will limit the amount of wear it can take on a surface that is getting foot traffic or regular wear. I sand carve from about a 1/8 - 5/16 depth so that the carving is well below the traffic usage on the surface and stands up much better over the long run and life of the brick. Our pavers can be used indoors or out. They can lie on their backside, stand on the edge, or be installed with other pavers in a walkway or patio. Concrete pavers will last for generations and the red pavers do not fade or discolor and have a unique patina that becomes more beautiful with age. It is guaranteed to last for many years to come.
