For sale are five antique coffin spikes or square nail heads, each measuring 1.5 inches in length. These historic artifacts originate from the renowned 1865 Orr Manor located in Jonesville, VA. Given their age, some of the nails may exhibit signs of bending and rust due to their long history. However, they can be lovingly restored with the use of 80 grit sandpaper. I acquired the Orr Manor property in May of 2021 and immediately embarked on restoration efforts. These spikes were extracted from the wormy chestnut wood that once adorned the mansion's roof, adding to their historical significance. What makes these nail heads even more intriguing is the rich history of the Orr Manor itself. The property is reputed to be haunted by its original owner, Judge Orr, along with his first wife Patty and their 9-year-old son who tragically passed away within the mansion's walls.
