“The Cove” Original Painting by PNW Artist Nicolle Black 60"x20” Acrylic Painting on Canvas. Part of the Oregon Driftwood Series, where the artist took close up photos of driftwood then made them into abstract paintings and named them after the beaches they were taken. This painting has more vibrant oranges than the others in series as the focal point but the moodyness of the darks like the others. There are parts of this painting were inspired by great artists such as Georgia O'Keefe(the horizon in the corner) and Hokusai's block print "The Great Wave off Kanagawa" (the wave in front). This was painted on gallery wrapped canvas with mostly golden acrylic paints. The sides are painted as an extension of the painting the image going all the way to the wall, as u can see from the side in the last photos on brick wall. Painting does not include floating wood frame in photo mockup, it is for a styling reference. It comes with a certificate of authenticity. *Note* This painting will be taken off the frame and shipped rolled up in a tube. The buyer will need to take this painting to a framer and have it re-stretched (or u can DIY) send me a message if you would like help with this. If you live within an hour of the Portland, OR area we can arrange drop off/pickup of this Painting. If we are in person arranging for dropoff/pickup of the painting will still be stretched on the canvas and wont need to be framed, it will be ready to hang.
