Banded Agate, also known as "Layered Agate" comes with a band like layers of microscopic Quartz crystals. It is formed from the deposition of layers of silica, in volcanic vesicles or other cavities. Layers and bands inside the stone are formed in stages and add to the beauty of this unique gemstone. Lovely coin shaped beads with bands of cream, tan, and brown are complimented by the brown glass seed beads. The necklace is about 20" long. The earrings are single drops of the banded agate beads with French hook ear wires. They are about 1" long. The pendant is sterling silver wire sculpted wire around a lovely agate slice. The pendant is about 2" long. All attempts have been made to photograph these items correctly in the natural light. However, colors can/do vary with everyone's individual monitors.
