Talk about unacceptable, especially when black cats alone make up 33% of intakes. Last year, after my childhood black cat, Lynx, passed away, I created this "Black Cat Brew" illustration of her based on a comment my husband said. Nearly two months later, the local cat rescue to us, Friends of Strays in Saint Petersburg, FL, held a "Black Cat Friday" event where adoption fees would be waived for black cats!
