An ode to my love for David Bowie, this is Ziggy Stardust, the legendary over the top Alien, androgynous, Glam Rock star, legend, and persona of Bowie during the early '70's. David and his backing band, the Spiders from Mars played /toured during 1972-73, until the final gig when Bowie announced Ziggy's retirement. Ziggy stardust's outrageous fashion cemented Bowie and Ziggy into the glam rock scene, and defined what that genre would become. Ziggy's success finally launched David into international stardom, and the album The Rise and fall of Ziggy stardust and the Spiders from Mars would go on to become Bowie's best work. I tried to capture Ziggy's iconic Glam rock look with these beautiful disco ball panorama beads, created with a myriad of colors.
