Product Description

Material(s): Glass

Handmade By: The Seller

Our process: It’s our concept and we make our products by hand

Customize a family Tree of Life for Grandma using glass seed beads as birthstones. You chose the wire wrapping colors and a 1.4" glass gem is hand painted with your chosen colors so you can grow a perfect Tree of Life for her! How to design it: 1. Choose your wire color. 2. Pick style from the photos. For style 1, list grandma's children (add spouse?) in order wanted. List the grandchildren's birth months in order wanted after their parent(s). Add grandma’s birth month for style 2 and add grandpa's for style 3. Styles 4, 5 and 6 use red seed beads to imitate apples. Put this info in the box. 3. Go to the color choice photos and list choices in the box. Choose a single color, a color blended into pearl white or pick up to 4 individual colors. The colors are blended together on the gem. If there is any particular pattern you have in mind, please describe it to me in the box or messages and I will see what I can do! 4. I may add some ink/pigment/paint/plumber’s aluminum behind the mica if it is needed to pop the colors. Mica often shimmers more if a dark color is behind it. Interference Blue needs a dark color behind it to make it “pop”. 5. If you want to see what it will look like before I finalize it, then add that to the box or message me. Watch for questions from me in the messages that will also go to your e-mail. 6. It comes with a wire matching chain and a gift box. 7. Message me with any questions. 8. Grandma treasures her own family pendant!

Field Creations

Welcome to my store! How did I become a maker? As a child I would often explore my yard or the nearby woods for unusual leaves, flowers, rocks and other treasures. I would take the leaves, flowers and sticks and tie them together with grass to make decorations, little critters or tiny houses hidden in the grass. I was always creating. Then I discovered painting and had my first art show in sixth grade. Time passed and during a career, raising 3 children and a food garden, art was sidelined. After my children grew up, I was able to get back to creating more. I again indulged in oil painting and watercolors commonly with a wildlife or nature theme. While I loved painting, after working a 10-12 hour day, I would be too tired to concentrate on painting. So I started making wire wrapped jewelry to unwire myself at the end of the day. Then I started combining my painting experience to mix and match different techniques and art supplies to see what I could create. After retiring, I am back to combing the local woods, and streams for interesting treasures I can use to create even more things. It is like I have returned to my childhood playing but only a little more sophisticated.
