The front is a dainty lariat y style with a 1 3/4 inch drop that slides along our dainty cable chain. The back has a removable double strand drop so you can wear dressed up or down long after your wedding day. You can add on the cascading pearl earrings with a 2 inch drop if you would like to make a set. * The drop in back is measured by the longest strand and the chains hang 2 inches apart. The necklace shown is a 6" drop (the shorter strand is 4 ") About Freshwater Pearls: Freshwater pearls should be the last thing to put on and the first thing to take off when applying perfumes, makeup, and hairsprays. Always remove before showering and swimming in salt water and chlorinated pools. Pearls are sensitive to heat and should not be stored in airtight containers because this can cause the pearl to dry out. They need to draw in moisture, so loosely wrapping in a soft cloth and placing in a slightly opened jewelry drawer is best.
