This unique handmade primitive nativity scene is complete with Mary holding baby Jesus, Joseph and two stable animals. Mary, Joseph & Jesus are made from stained muslin with hand painted facial features. Mary is 5" tall. Her dress is stained osnaburg with a fabric shawl. Jesus is wrapped in a tea-dyed muslin blanket that is secured with jute rope. Joseph is 6" tall. His clothes and head cover are made from cotton/flannel fabrics. (Fabrics will vary from the photo as I use available stock. Quality is never jeopardized. You will not be disappointed.) His hair & beard are lamb's wool. He is holding a staff. The donkey is also made from stained muslin and painted. His mane and tail are lamb's wool. His harness is jute rope. He is 5" tall with stick legs. The 2"tall sheep is made from muslin, and painted. His coat is tea-dyed batting with stick legs and felt ears. His eyes are made from clay. This is a very unique Christmas display and a wonderful way to remember the holiday season.
