Small, crib-size baby quilt features an appliqued panel of a sweet teddy bear family — Mama Bear, Papa Bear, and their three cubs — dreaming the night away tucked under a cozy patchwork quilt. Assorted 100% cotton printed fabrics in teal, aqua, gold, pale yellow, burnt orange, and tan. Dark brown bears are applied with raw edge applique. The raw edges of the appliques are secured with blanket or satin stitching. The backing fabric is a teal-and-black cotton plaid. Personally quilted on my domestic sewing machine with echo stitching around the bears' heads and straight-line stitching elsewhere. Batting is Hobbs Heirloom 80% cotton/20% polyester blend. Edges are finished with durable, double-folded burnt orange binding. The binding has been machine-stitched to the front and hand sewn to the back. NOTE: This quilt has been pre-washed/pre-shrunk and has a textured, crinkly look. Do not use bleach or any laundry detergent/product containing brighteners as they will cause the colors to fade. Line dry (recommended) or tumble dry on low heat.
