A beautiful handmade piece, created for the 4th of July or for year round is our rustic American flag wall art. This Americana Flag hanger was made from Muslin which I have stained with a coffee/vanilla mixture, then painted and sanded to achieve the primitive look. The banner is made from muslin which has been stained and stiffened. On it is a very well known saying taken from our Declaration of Independence. "We hold these truths to be self-evident, that all men are created equal, that they are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable Rights, that among these are Life, Liberty and the pursuit of Happiness" Accents of green moss and rusty stars have been strategically placed. Inserted into the top of the flag is a wood dowel with jute cord attached for hanging. Burgundy and Navy blue ribbon was also added for some flourish.
