This solid Red Oak hand made cheese or cutting board is designed to be functional and used daily. The board is two sided and made from edge glued components that will not bend, warp, split or cup like full width boards will. The individual components are full length so there are no end joints that have weak glue joints. The boards are hand finished with food grade mineral oil until saturated and then two coats of natural bees wax. The American MainStreet Products boards are designed to be the best quality and beg to be used in your kitchen. The board works well for charcuterie applications where the red oak makes an attractive presentation. We make every attempt to get the most out of our hardwood so the board may be slightly larger than the size stated as we do not trim to exact sizes and waste the wood cutoffs. The board will not be smaller. We recommend maintaining the board with mineral oil periodically to keep the board conditioned and do not recommend placing in dish washer or dish pan. Only wash with lightly wet rag and dish washing liquid. Stand on edge to dry and apply a coat of mineral oil and allow to soak into the board."
