I received my first custom art commission when I was in college. It was a watercolor of a German Shepherd who had passed away. I was surprised at the owner's emotional reaction to the art, as it deeply touched her heart. My dad thought it odd that someone would pay for a painting of their dog, but I could tell he was proud of me! Over the years it has been wonderful to paint custom art. Creating beautiful paintings filled with treasured meaning is my most important work as an artist.
