The magnets have a glossy finish over the printing, and the entire backside is magnetic. The envelopes are white, 3.5x5 inches. They come with small black cards to put in behind (reduces magnetism though the envelopes). You *should* be able mail this magnet out in the provided envelope with one regular postage stamp. Final say is with your local post office, but, plenty of people have mailed out this size with one stamp. Note: There is color variation between different monitors and their settings; The print may not look *exactly* as you see it in your monitor.
