Adorned by Africa

Welcome to Adorned by Africa! I always said if I were to leave the North American continent, Africa would be the first place I'd go. I have since accomplished this dream by visiting and establishing relationships with the beautiful people of Ghana and Tanzania. Africa is indeed a treasure land, and my many visits to her confirmed my suspicions. The land is filled with love and so many treasures. During my usual rounds, I chanced upon some beautiful ornaments called beads. The beauty and the history about them left me in awe. Waist beads have a long-standing victory in Africa and are worn for numerous reasons and purposes. The beads signify and symbolize womanhood, sexuality, fertility, femininity, healing, spirituality, body, seduction, protection, and wealth, among other things. Most African men hold a woman with waist beads in high regard. I am very fortunate to not only be able to experience this but to be able to bring a taste of Mama Africa to you! Kay
