Welcome to "bead ideas"! I'm Ginger Waynick, and I create wirework jewelry, paper bead jewelry and garden art made from vintage objects. In my store, you'll find a wide selection of unique earrings and necklaces. I make my own paper beads from magazine and calander paper and never use kits. After retiring from a career in governmental communications, I realized that I needed a new creative outlet. When I saw some African paper beads, I was fascinated by the colors and shapes. I started experimenting with different papers to see what I could do. After teaching myself to make the beads, i needed better jewelry making skills. I began using wire to enhance the quality of my work, and so began the wirework jewelry. I have always collected interesting vintage pieces such as jewelry, charms, flatware and whatever whimsical item cross my path. After experimenting with a windchime from vintage flatware, commercial beads and a silver bread bowl for myself, I was pleased with the result and decided to add such pieces and others to my shop. They have been alot of fun to make and have sold well for me.
