I needed a 16x20 frame for a painting that size, so I didn't use the mat that was for a 11x14 picture. It was easy to remove it and just use the outer frame which was perfect for my piece. Compared to others I looked at this one was the best quality for the price range I was shopping for. It included the hangar already attached so I placed the painting and hung it right away. Simple, easy project.

Purchased studio frame with mat to display a retirement commemoration for 30 years of service. Provided an excellent presentation piece.

I ordered 2 of these frames and both of them were cracked on the corners.  Either the packaging is insufficient for shipping or the frame is weak.  Either way, I can't use either one and can't find a way to return or exchange.

These frame come apart if you look at them funny.  One fell off of the wall, and the frame completely came apart.  It was fixable with some glue and paint.  When I recently ordered four more, since they're only available online, two of the four were smashed.  Apparently, Michael's thinks that packing fragile objects means throwing four of them in a box with some crumpled paper around them (not in between them).  Of course, the returns button on the site doesn't load, so we'll be visiting the store this weekend.

I love the look of these, but the quality of the item and Michael's competence has me reconsidering these for my home.
