This Black thread along with its white counterpart are really good. They're a bit sturdier and have bit more girth to them when compared to normal thread one would use to sew clothes with. I guess that is  to be expected since it's embroidery thread. I've bought some sewing thread before, that stuff breaks or tears so easily. When I needed to sew a few buttons normal thread didn't work but this one did, I highly recommend and if your into embroidery they this one may just be for you.
