Made on a high-quality traditional solid-wood panel with support slats (commonly found on antique icons). <br>Icon border is raised to create a distinct frame. The technique of painting is egg tempera on prepared gesso wood, natural time-honored pigments and genuine gold-leaf for background gilding, consistent with the Orthodox tradition of iconography. The artist used matte fluid acrylics which replicate class egg tempera. The background is painted.<br>
