Tape rug to the floor.

Spray back of stencil with stencil adhesive.

Center one medallion both horizontally and vertically. Then center the other two medallions on each side of the first. Mark the center of the designs with a small marker point so you know where to place the stencil as you proceed. You will paint over the point with the darkest color paint.

Using masking tape, mask off two stripes down each side of the rug.

Using a Spouncer™ and working from the inside of the medallion out to the edges, pounce the Marina outdoor paint into the center designs. Make sure to get paint into the corners of the stencil. Pounce the Harbor View outdoor paint on the next designs and finally the Water Lily outdoor paint on the outermost design.

TIP: The area painted with Water Lily may require two coats.

While the paint is still wet, carefully pull the stencil up from the rug, move it to the next position, and gently press it into place.

Repeat previous steps for the remaining medallions. When finished painting, remove the medallion and set aside.

Paint the stripes with the Marina outdoor paint. When finished painting, remove the tape. Let the whole rug dry, preferably overnight, before using.
