Christmas Snow Slime Ornament

Project Notes: All types of Elmer’s® glue work with this recipe; however, we used one 9 fl. oz. bottle of clear glue to make Snow Slime as shown.

 

Find your favorite glue slime recipe. For the snow slime, you won’t add any color; this is a clear slime.

Make a batch of clear slime, using one 9 fl. oz. bottle of clear glue. Do not add any color to the slime.  

Flatten out your slime on a piece of wax (or palette) paper and sprinkle on Crystal Clear glitter. Fold the slime’s edges in toward the center to blend the glitter into the slime. Repeat this technique to add white pom poms and white sparkle poms to the slime. Continue folding and stretching until all pom poms and glitter are evenly distributed throughout the slime. 

Decorate a clear plastic snap ornament with paint and paint pens. To make the Christmas tree, as shown, dip your finger into the green paint and press onto the side of the snap ornament, to build the tree out of fingerprints. Let dry and add ornaments, garland and a star.  

Once your decoration is complete, let the ornament dry. Open it, fill one side with slime, and close again.

 

TIP: If desired, add a little tape to the ornament’s seam to help keep the slime from escaping.

If you intend to keep your slime for more than a few hours, be sure to store it in an airtight, sealable container (or re-sealable plastic bag).
