Maple Leaf Paper Quilling Shadow Box

First, click here for the design in Cricut® Design Space™.
TIP: If you want to make any changes to the design, click ‘Customize’ at the bottom of the screen and it will move the design into your canvas. Use the edit tools in the tool bar and then click ‘Make It’ in the upper right corner of your screen.

Click ‘Continue’ in the lower right corner of your screen.

Follow the Cricut® Design Space™ steps to finish cutting and drawing the design.
TIP: You will want to cut one sheet from each shade included in your cardstock pack for the strips and load the 0.4 tip black pen in clamp A.

Glue the brown strips along the entire outline of the maple leaf.
TIP: To slightly curl your cardstock, run the strip along the edge of an old gift card or the edge of the table.

To make the paper rolls, place a paper strip into the slotted tool and wrap around, remove from the slotted tool, let unroll a little, glue the end.
TIP:  You can also add a second or third strip to make the roll even thicker.

Pinch one end of the glued paper roll to make a teardrop shape, make a variety of sizes.

To adhere teardrop shapes to the inside of the maple leaf, carefully line the bottom with glue and gently press to adhere. Repeat until maple leaf is filled in with teardrop shapes.

Fold the brown strips to make the straight pieces for the leaf stem. Carefully line the bottom of the folded strips with glue and gently press to adhere inside the leaf stem.

Insert the maple leaf into a shadow box.
