Instructions

Step 1:

Quantities Needed for this Project:
2 - Chain Nose Pliers

Project Note: Bracelet length will vary depending on wrist size and how the bracelet is wrapped.

Helpful Tip: Wrap the bracelet around your wrist as you go along to gauge where you'd like the tassels to hang and how many times you'd like the components to wrap around your wrist. We made the bracelet so that the tassels all hang on the same side. You can achieve this same look by adjusting the length of chain used or the length of ribbon. Our bracelet length and instructions can be used as a guide, but length will vary depending on personal taste and size of wrist.

Note: When wrapping the bracelet around your wrist, start by placing the metal connector on the top of your wrist and begin to wrap the ribbon and chain around. When the entire length has been wrapped, the lobster clasp will then connect to the other end of the metal connector.

Step 2:

Measure and cut 21" of wrap ribbon and set aside the remaining 15". Thread one ribbon end through one end of the metal heart connector. Leave a ribbon tail of 1½" - 2".

Step 3:

Tie a small knot so that the ribbon does not slip back through the metal opening.

Step 4:

Thread three small gold nuggets onto the ribbon tail and up against the knot.

Tip: Twist the end of the ribbon and push it through the bead using round nose pliers.

Optional: The nuggets will fit snugly onto the ribbon, but to better secure the nugget, you can tie another small knot after the last nugget, if desired. Trim the ribbon end to suit personal taste.

Step 5:

Tie the other end of the 21" length of ribbon to the end of your chain and leave a ribbon tail of 1½" - 2".

Step 6:

Thread three small gold nuggets onto the ribbon tail.

Step 7:

From the point where you tied the ribbon onto your chain, measure 19" of chain or count 50 links. Remove the remaining chain by opening the chain links with your chain nose pliers.

Step 8:

Tie one end of the remaining 15" of ribbon onto the last chain link and leave a tail of 1½"-2". Thread three small gold nuggets onto the ribbon tail.

Step 9:

Tie the opposite end of the ribbon to your remaining chain and leave a ribbon tail of 1½"-2." Thread three small gold nuggets onto the tail.

Step 10:

From the point where you tied the ribbon onto your chain, measure 4¼" of chain or count 11 links. Remove the remaining chain by opening the chain links with your chain nose pliers. Set aside remaining chain. We did not use the remaining length of chain for our bracelet.

Note: You can adjust the number of chain links you use depending on the size of your wrist and if you prefer for all of the beaded tassel ribbon tails to hang on one side of your wrist or not. Length will also depend on how tightly you want to wrap the bracelet around your wrist.

You will now make beaded links that will attach to each other and to the end of your chain.

Step 11:

String two crystal beads onto an eye pin and cut your eye pin with jewelry cutters, leaving a length of 3/8".

Step 12:

Bend the eye pin to a 90° angle.

Step 13:

Using your round nose pliers, form a simple loop by grasping the wire between the round nose pliers and rotating the pliers toward you, keeping a firm grip on the wire with the pliers. Make sure the wire stays in the same place on the pliers as you rotate towards you.

Tip: When making wire loops with your round nose pliers, the key to making consistent sized loops is to mark the pliers with a permanent marker (Sharpie®) so that you always begin your wire wrap at the same place on the pliers.

Step 14:

Repeat Steps 11-13 with the remaining beads, giving you a total of 17 beaded links.

Note: Depending on desired length of bracelet and how many times it wraps, you do not have to use all of the beaded links. You can always remove beaded links at the end in order to adjust the length.

Step 15:

Connect a beaded link to the end of your chain on your wrap bracelet using a jump ring. Connect the remaining beaded links together using jump rings in-between links.

Step 16:

Connect the last beaded link to a lobster clasp using a jump ring. Your lobster clasp will then connect to the metal connector as you wrap it around your wrist.
