Instructions

Step 1:

Cut two strands of cord to 5½' in length. Burn the ends with the lighter to melt the fibers together and prevent fraying.

Step 2:

Put the two cords together and fold them over, with a short end and a long end. The short end should be about 2" longer than you want the finished bracelet to be (so if your bracelet will measure 7", make the short end 9").

Step 3:

Stack the cords on top of each other and attach them to a clipboard.

Step 4:

Take the long cord on the right and lay it over the middle cords, perpendicular to them. Lay the long left hand cord over the right hand cord.

Step 5:

Bring the long left hand cord under the middle cords and over the long right hand cord.

Step 6:

Move the very simple knot you've made above down the two middle cords. You want the distance from the top of the cords (the bend that you've attached to the clipboard) to the knot itself to be the length of your finished bracelet.

Step 7:

Secure your middle cords down with a binder clip. This allows you to keep tension.

Step 8:

Take the right working cord and wrap it around the right cord.

Step 9:

Take the left working cord and lay it over the left cord, under the middle cords, and over the right cord, placing it above the wrap you did in the last step.

Step 10:

Pull the left working cord tight.

Step 11:

Take the right working cord and put it over the middle cords and under the left cord, above the left working cord. Tighten both working cords.

Step 12:

Repeat until you have a loop at the top. Tighten cords both horizontally and vertically.

Step 13:

Remove the binder clips and remove from the clipboard.

Step 14:

Flip the bracelet over. You are going to tuck the tails from the top into the back of the bracelet’s weave.

Step 15:

Take the left hand cord and thread it through the large lobster claw clasp closure and under 3 – 4 of the middle weaved cords. Repeat with the right hand cord. Trim excess cord and burn with the lighter to melt the fibers together and prevent fraying.

Step 16:

Cover the back of the metal and glass pendant with Aleene's® Glass & Bead Adhesive™ glue. Place it in the middle section of the finished bracelet. Press firmly into the weave of the bracelet.
